Pronouns

Some people prefer non-cis pronouns.  People who use alternative pronouns are not necessarily nonbinary.  People choose pronouns for all kinds of personal reasons.  It's ok to be unsure and it's ok to change your pronouns throughout your life!

Pride Parades

Pride parades are celebratory and political events (usually in June) where LGBTQIA+ people come together and celebrate identities, rights and diversity.  They are also places of protest.

The LGBT movement started in NYC at Stonewall and in San Francisco at Compton Cafeteria. Learn about the black trans women who started it all and more history here
